TRAVEL WRITING
Her work encompasses destinations across the globe, from Europe to Africa to the Middle East, and focuses on international travel reportage encompassing coverage of local culture and traditions, gastronomy, history, economy, politics, wildlife conservation and ecotourism. Currently: Press & PR Co-ordinator of the British Guild of Travel Writers.
PICTURE PACKAGES
An accomplished photographer, Sarah works with
high-spec digital SLR equipment to supply high-res images to accompany her writing. Her images have been used to illustrate her published work in the national and international press.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
An experienced editor with a strong commercial and news sense and a background in consumer and customer magazines, Sarah is competent in all aspects of editorial project management, including the production and design process, to achieve co-ordination of publications to schedule and budget. Skills include copywriting, SEO writing for the Web, press release production and sub-editing and proofing. Proficient in advanced Web research, QuarkXPress and Photoshop.
EDITORIAL ROLES
Sarah is a NCTJ/PTC-qualified journalist, who has edited a range of consumer, client and contract publications, both in the UK and abroad. In addition to travel writing, she edits Gabon Magazine: www.gabonmagazine.com, a quarterly publication about the new West African ecotourism destination of Gabon. She co-ordinates its production in French and English versions (2005 until present).
LINGUISTIC FLUENCY
Sarah is a fluent Spanish and French speaker. She has lived and worked in France, Spain, Japan and the Middle East.
