CAREER BACKGROUND

Sarah began her career in regional newspapers before becoming Travel and Deputy Editor of Home & Country magazine, then editing a range of titles in the Middle East (1997-2002).

    In 2003, she was selected as Launch Editor of Everything Spain (2003-5), a magazine about Spanish travel, property, culture, traditions, gastronomy and wine, and history.

    She is currently Editor of Gabon Magazine, a quarterly publication produced in English and French versions, about the West African ecotourism destination of Gabon.

    Her work in consumer and client magazines led to the Middle East becoming a special interest. She worked in the UAE from 1997-2002 edited the region’s leading glossy women's title, Emirates Woman, and and Living in the Gulf from Dubai.

MIDDLE EAST

The editorship of Emirates Woman gave her the opportunity to travel widely in the Gulf and interview many personalities in the world of fashion and design, including Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Jean Paul Guerlain and Thierry Mugler and to meet the world's most inspiring politician, Nelson Mandela, at the Burj al-Arab, the world's tallest hotel.

    From 2001-2, she was appointed senior editor of Middle East Health magazine for global communications company Trident Communications and produced contract publications, brochures and newsletters for a range of clients that included Emirates Airlines, Qatar Airways. BP and the American Business Council.

    She is co-author of the Eyewitness Top Ten Guide to Dubai and Abu Dhabi (Dorling Kindersley, 2008).

  

Sarah is based near Brighton, UK.
